This 2nd owner Charger has been with same owner since 1971. Gifted with a 440 / 727 automatic, the car is in excellent condition with no visible signs of rust anywhere. In for service, the vintage air installation needs to be completed, brake service and tire alignment. Also, I am doing a dash upgrade to ensure accurate readings of all gauges including, oil pressure, water temp and speedometer calibration. I will be changing some cosmetic trim to enhance the already snappy orange color.
Jan 13 - car arrives
Jan 15 - prime oil pump, install temp fuel tank, Check spark & fuel, Install test carb and start engine
Jan 19 - remove dash. replace brake calipers and booster assembly
Jan 23 - rebuild carb
Jan -26 bleed brakes & test. pulley mock up for A/C system, alternator and power steering
Jan 28 - height and align work
Feb 2 - Install alternator brackets, install dash sensors
Feb 7 - replace engine wiring harness, install bracket, hoses and belts
Feb 10 - wiring work, install speakers and radio, road test
Feb 11 - diagnose starter issue and replace, carb work
Feb 17 - replace wheel cylinders, fabricate vent cover, a/c fittings, evacuate and check for leaks
Feb 20 - install new dash, replace interior trim, flush cooling system
Feb 26 - New exhaust installed, test cooling system performance
Feb 28 - evacuate & recharge A/C test operation
Mar 4 - replace radiator, install 2nd temp gauge and re-test cooling system
Mar 9 - install console parts, paint touch up work
Mar 10 - install inner fender splash shields, scope fuel tank, fix seat back, calibrate speedo, grill work
Mar 11 - light circuit checks, repair grounds
Mar 12 - Install new fan clutch
Mar 13 - temp testing, header panel work
Mar 15 - replace fuel tank (tank liner separated)
Mar 16 - 1st 5 mile drive for alignment and balance
Mar 20 - install aux fan and controller
Mar 23 - Change carb and road test
Mar 30 - Install new carb and setup choke
Apr 4 - install seat belts
Apr 10 - 7 day sit startup
Apr 11 - install brake distribution block and prop valve
Apr 12 - repair water pump housing, install new water pump, connect heater hoses
Apr 14 - Start highway road testing
