Scoops crack & peel UNLESS the whole hood is fiberglass.  The problem with fiberglass hoods is that the don't work well with factory hinges. I have had more than 1 hood crack from someone helping put my hood down. This time, I decided to skin a steel hood & insert the subframe inside the glass hood with PANEL BONDING ADHESIVE!  Works Great! Now I can use stock springs and every will work fine.
